WhatsApp formats text with simple marks around words: *bold*, _italic_, ~strikethrough~ and ```monospace```, plus `inline code`, > quotes and lists. Select text and press a button — the editor adds the right marks, and the preview shows how it will look in the chat.

Write your message in the editor.
Select words and use the toolbar (or Ctrl+B / Ctrl+I). Add emoji, lists and quotes.
Copy the plain text with marks. It formats itself when sent in WhatsApp.
The formatting is applied after you send. In the input box you'll still see the * and _ marks.
WhatsApp has no font picker. Monospace (```text```) is the only alternative typeface. “Fancy font” generators use look-alike Unicode symbols that screen readers can't read, so we don't use them.
Yes, for example *_bold italic_*. Keep the marks nested in order.
